BUSINESS, BUT HUMAN WORKSHOP

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Effective Date: October 24th, 2025

This Independent Event Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between:

Jessica Lucas, trading as Ride or Die The Agency (ABN 37 160 825 761) (“Event Facilitator”), and the individual purchasing or attending the Workshop (“Attendee”).

By purchasing a ticket or attending the Workshop, the Attendee agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. General Attendance

  • Attendance at the Workshop may involve personal expenses such as travel, parking, or incidental costs not included in the ticket price. These costs remain the sole responsibility of the Attendee.

  • The Attendee is responsible for monitoring and managing their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being throughout the Workshop.

  • The Event Facilitator accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damage sustained before, during, or after the Workshop, including travel to and from the venue, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

  • The Attendee is responsible for their own belongings. The Event Facilitator will not be liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

  • The Attendee is liable for any damage caused to property, facilities, or venue during the Workshop and agrees to cover all associated repair or replacement costs.

  • The Event Facilitator reserves the right to make necessary adjustments to Workshop details, venue, or guest facilitators due to operational or unforeseen circumstances.

2. Scope of Advice

  • All information, discussions, and materials shared during the Workshop are based on the Event Facilitator’s and any guest speakers’ professional experience in business strategy, management, marketing, and personal development.

  • The Attendee acknowledges that neither the Event Facilitator nor any guest speaker provides financial, legal, or medical advice during the Workshop.

  • Any actions or decisions taken as a result of Workshop discussions remain the sole responsibility of the Attendee. Independent professional advice should be sought before implementing significant changes.

3. Health & Safety

  • The Attendee agrees to take full responsibility for their own health and safety during the Workshop.

  • Any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or dietary requirements must be disclosed confidentially to the Event Facilitator before attending if relevant to the day’s activities or catering.

  • The Event Facilitator and venue will take all reasonable care to ensure a safe environment but accept no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or illness arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence.

4. Intellectual Property

  • All materials, presentations, and strategies shared during the Workshop are the intellectual property of the Event Facilitator and guest speakers.

  • These materials are provided for personal and professional growth only and may not be copied, shared, distributed, or reproduced without prior written consent from the Event Facilitator or relevant speaker.

5. Payment, Cancellations & Ticket Policy

  • Tickets to the Workshop are confirmed only upon full payment.

  • Pricing and inclusions are clearly stated on the booking page.

Force Majeure:

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Event Facilitator (including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government restrictions, travel disruptions, or third-party cancellations), the Workshop may be modified, postponed, or relocated. Refunds or compensation may not be issued except as outlined below.

Cancellations and Refunds:

  • 30+ days’ notice: Full refund of the ticket price

  • 7–30 days’ notice: Ticket is non-refundable but may be transferred to another person, subject to written notice and approval by the Event Facilitator

  • Less than 7 days’ notice: No refunds or transfers permitted

  • If the Event Facilitator cancels or reschedules the Workshop for reasons not related to force majeure, Attendees will be offered the choice of a refund or a credit toward a future event or service.

6. Behaviour & Conduct

  • The Workshop is a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment. Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • The Event Facilitator reserves the right to remove an Attendee from the Workshop without refund if they engage in behaviour deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.

7. Confidentiality

  • The Attendee agrees that all personal, business, and strategic information shared during the Workshop (“Confidential Information”) will remain confidential.

  • Confidential Information must not be disclosed to any third party without written consent, except to authorised representatives who require it for legitimate purposes.

  • Both parties agree to exercise reasonable care to protect Confidential Information and to use it solely for purposes related to the Workshop.

  • These obligations apply during and after completion of the Workshop.

8. Data Use, Photography & Marketing

  • By attending the Workshop, the Attendee consents to being photographed and/or recorded for use in promotional materials, social media, or marketing by the Event Facilitator.

  • If the Attendee does not wish to appear in marketing materials, they must notify the Event Facilitator in writing before or at the commencement of the Workshop.

9. Insurance & Indemnity

  • The Attendee is responsible for any personal or travel insurance they deem necessary.

  • The Attendee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Event Facilitator, guest speakers, contractors, and venue providers from any claims or liabilities arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Event Facilitator and guest speakers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of income, profits, data, or personal injury) arising out of or related to participation in the Workshop.

11. Governing Law

  • This Agreement is governed by the laws of Australia and the State of Victoria. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian courts in relation to any dispute arising from this Agreement.

12. Consent & Release

  • By purchasing a ticket or attending the Workshop, the Attendee voluntarily releases and discharges the Event Facilitator, guest speakers, and any subcontractors from any and all claims or liabilities arising from participation in the Workshop, except in cases of gross negligence.
